Dr. Susan Howard-Perry has an excellent reputation for providing quality psychological services to a wide range of clients.

She is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology,  a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)  in the state of Missouri and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the stated of Kansas.  Dr. Perry has worked with individuals of all ages in outpatient mental health settings and with incarcerated adults for almost two decades.  She currently treats clients who are age 21 and older. Dr. Perry has an extensive background working with individuals and couples in crisis. She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, psychosis, grief and loss, bipolar disorder, and antisocial behaviors.  

However, some clients seek treatment not because they have a mental health issue but because they are experiencing a situation, relationship, or life event that is causing them emotional distress. Therefore, she is a goal-oriented therapist who uses an eclectic approach to treatment. She does not believe that one size fits all as each human being is unique and so are their circumstances. Dr. Perry uses many different theoretical frames of reference such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Attachment Theory, Behavioral, Trauma Focused CBT, Gottman Method and others to assist clients develop insight and change behaviors. She focuses on a person’s strengths not their weaknesses. Her job is to help you develop insight, understanding, and promote the change you seek to improve the quality of your life. She is also certified by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc.  (icisf) and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
